St Jude Radiothon: It’s All About The Kids & We Need Your Help

Rockford is always there when someone needs help, it's time to step up for the kids and make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to fight childhood cancer.

One of my favorite things about my job is being able to help out those in need. It could be hosting a fundraiser, interviewing someone about their charity, or any other way I can assist to get the word out.

My friends down the hall at Q 98.5 have been hosting their annual Country Cares Radiothon for St Jude Children's Research Hospital for many years. I've seen all the great work they do to help those kids. Recently, the Rock radio world has embraced the cause with St Jude Rocks. Myself, and 96.7 The Eagle wanted to join in to help.

Since this is the Eagle's very first St Jude Rocks Radiothon. I had the amazing opportunity to go to Memphis last fall for the Country Cares Seminar to learn more about St Jude Children's Research Hospital. I also had a tour of the campus. All I can say is it was a life-changing experience. I was blown away with the whole organization and I'm all in to support it. I get a little choked up just thinking about it.

The St Jude Rocks Radiothon presented by Lawncare By Walter is this Thursday (2/6) and Friday (2/7). We'll be on the air both days from 6 am to 6 pm giving you info and stories about the St Jude Kids.
