A pair of brothers in Wisconsin are busted using shady tactics to make a high-priced item much cheaper for them to purchase.

Two Wisconsin Brothers Arrested For Changing Prices On Fishing Equipment

It's funny what people will try to do when they're trying to save a couple of bucks. I'm not talking about using a coupon or something simple and legal like that. The situations I'm discussing are breaking the law and stealing merchandise.

In the long run, once these shoplifters get busted, it's going to cost them much more money than actually paying for the items. To me, it's just not worth getting arrested with a chance of going to jail. I'll enjoy my freedom, and they can have fun behind bars.

I'm thinking that in this situation in Wisconsin, the suspects didn't think they were stealing. They were changing the prices. The two brothers went into a sporting goods store and changed the prices of fishfinders, so they got a good model for a very discounted price.

According to WSAW...

Two men, identified in court records as Cody Forbes, 37, and Brandon Forbes, 22, are accused of photographing a barcode on a $129.99 fishfinder and using that barcode to purchase a fishfinder that actually cost $3,040.

Court documents say both men purchased the item with the altered price, totaling a loss for the store of $6080.

Investigators used surveillance footage to obtain the license plate of the driver and match it with Department of Transportation records.

I know fishing is popular in Wisconsin, but it's definitely not worth getting arrested for. Now, they won't even be able to enjoy their hobby because they're in jail. In my opinion, they must not be a good fisherman if they have to use a fishfinder to catch any.

The Most Bizarre Items Ever Stolen From Illinois Residents

My mom once told me that "people will steal anything that's not nailed down." Times certainly have changed since then. The thieves now have nail removers.
