Local police were called late at night to a high school in Illinois because someone broke in and tried to rob the custodial workers.

While others would much rather just work by themselves. If you are used to one kind of environment, it would be difficult to deal with the opposite situation.

If it's a big building, there might be other employees, but in other areas of the facility. A high school maintenance worker got a surprise visitor when he was working the overnight shift.

A late-night janitor at Downers Grove North High School was shocked when he ran into a stranger in the building. The mystery man tried to rob him, but luckily, he had no weapons. When another custodian appeared on the scene, the suspect took off running out of the school. Apparently, he snuck in an unlocked window.

According to Patch...

A man crawled through an unlocked window to get into Downers Grove North High School, where he tried to rob a maintenance worker Wednesday morning.

 

After entering via the unlocked window, the man demanded money from the maintenance worker, but did not show or imply a weapon, a news release said.

 

The man fled after encountering another maintenance worker and was last seen heading south along Forest Avenue on foot.
