An Illinois man woke up to find a very unusual delivery left on his front porch.

Package Delivery For Illinois Residents

It's funny how mail delivery has changed so much through the years in Illinois. Back in the day, letters were one of the main forms of communication. You would get excited to check the box every day to see if anything came for you. At that point, there weren't many products sent through the post office.

Then, letters were replaced with emails. Several experts predicted the downfall of the United States postal system. All of a sudden, people discovered online shopping. Don't call it a comeback, but package delivery is huge in Illinois. Once again, we were excited about the mail.

5 Good Reasons Why Gift Left On This Illinois Porch Was Strange

A man in Elmhurst was leaving for work a couple of mornings ago when he discovered an unexpected package left on his front porch. Apparently, this gift wasn't a good one. There are five reasons why it wasn't right.

  • #1 The package was a random used desk chair. It wasn't even in a box.
  • #2 The chair was broken so what is he going to do with that?
  • #3 There was a note that said: "Merry Christmas" (it's a little too early or late).
  • #4 The letter was addressed to "dummy." It read "Merry Christmas Dummy."
  • #5 There was a vulgar picture included (no details of what it was).

Imagine if that happened to you. It's so weird. Either someone left it at the wrong house or they're trying to send a message to their neighbor.
