There is one thing I really remember doing as a family when I was growing up. That was going to flea markets. My parents just loved going and I was dragged along for the ride. Funny thing, they never buy a lot of things. They enjoyed walking around and talking.

At least a couple of Sundays a month in the spring and summer, right after church, we would hit a flea market. A different one each week. It didn't happen in the fall because of Bears season. They also preferred going to outdoor flea markets so no winter ones.

One I definitely remember checking out every year was the Kane County Flea Market. That thing is massive. If you can't find it there, then you'll never find it. They also host different themed flea markets which is cool too.
