My favorite season of the year is fall. I love hoodie weather. Plus, there's football, Halloween, festivals, and apples. I'm a huge fan of apples. I enjoy taking a trip out to one of the orchards with my family to get a bunch of the tasty fruit along with juice and donuts.

Nowadays, apple orchards have really stepped up their game. You could spend the day at one with all of the fun activities. It is a great place to enjoy some quality family time. Maybe even get a nice photo of your group.

The only thing that could be better is an apple festival. Luckily, we have one right here in Illinois and it's just a short drive from Rockford. Think about all the delicious treats you could get at an event like that.

Apple Fest is happening from September 20th through the 22nd in the historic downtown of Long Grove, which is a cute little town. Tickets are just $5 per day at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free. The event will feature just about any kind of food or drink made out of apples.

There's so much other stuff to check out too. They have live music featured on three stages. You check out the carnival, vendors, kid activities, food, beverages, entertainment, and so much more. Did I mention there will be lots of apples and apple products?
