Wisconsin Restaurant Called the Absolute Best Pizza Joint in Entire State

Talk about high praise. When I saw this restaurant listed as the best pizza joint in Wisconsin I immediately figured out how long it would take me to get there by car.

If you know me, you know I love good food even if most of that good food is pizza.

So when I saw LoveFood's The Best Pizza Place Now Open In Your State, I knew I was in for a good time.

The best part of this whole experience is that this restaurant was totally off my radar, as in I have never heard of this place until today.

It's called San Giorgio Pizzeria Napoletana and it sounds like the goods.

The dough is naturally fermented and cooked for 70-90 seconds at 900°F in a wood-fired oven, so it gets that perfect chewy, charred crust. The restaurant serves up regular specials alongside its usual pizza menu, including the Ilario with roasted Italian sausage, mushrooms, tomato, mozzarella, and basil.

With nearly 300 reviews on Yelp, the pizza joint sits at an excellent 4.5 out 5 rating.

Adam J. recommends sitting at the pizza bar by the chefs saying "it was great to watch them work the pizzas and the oven."
