Let me get you up to speed on what cuffing season is first.  And no, it's not the season that most people get arrested.

Cuffing season refers to the time between October and somewhere around Valentine's Day when people start searching for a partner to have during the colder months.  This could become a long term relationship, but majority of the time it's just a short-lived partnership.

"The use of the word cuff references handcuffs, but is slang in the same vein as "hooking up" or "getting hitched." - merriam-webster

Since October is a month away, I figured a lot of people would be preparing to get OUT of the relationship once the season is over.

That means they probably started Googling how to get out of the complicated "situationship".  Don't worry, you're not the only one who did this!

There's an entire list of every state's most curious relationship question.  The MOST SEARCHED in Illinois was pretty accurate to what's to come the next few months after cuffing season comes to an end.

HOW TO GET OVER A BREAKUP?

Though I'm not a relationship expert, I did just recently go through a breakup.  Boy, let me tell you, IT. IS. TOUGH.

You really don't know how to do it, where to bring up the conversation, or even what you're going to do after you break it off with the person you spent all those months with.

Clearly based on the Google searches, Illinoisans know they're going to get way too attached and need a way out - FAST.  Well, at least we aren't Wisconsin.  Their most searched relationship question was "how to kiss."

The rest of the list can be found here if you're really curious to see what we're all Googling in America.  I'm pretty nosy, so I've already judged every state (lol).
