Here’s What to Expect at Illinois’ Boone County Fair 2023
This year's Boone County Fair is August 8-13 in Belvidere, Illinois. This year promises to bring everything you love about going to the fair.

The Boone County Fair has always been my favorite. We've been to many county fairs, but this was my daughter's first county fair, so it holds some special memories for me.
Other than being her first one, for me, there's nothing particularly special or different about this fair compared to the others in the area when it comes to my favorite things about fairs... the food and the animals. It's all fabulous.
It's highly likely the food mostly comes from many of the same vendors at other area fairs. The corn dogs are hot and a little crispy, and the sweet golden-fried funnel cakes are a must—and a little lemon shake-up to wash it down.

Now, the news that many may not know.
Ride Prices
Depending on the size of the ride, it will take 3, 4 or 5 tickets to ride. Ride tickets cost $1 a piece.
There are a couple of days when the rides are discounted.
On Wednesday, August 9th from 12 noon to 5:00 pm and Thursday, August 10th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, the number of tickets required to ride will be reduced.
The event will proceed as previous years have with no wristbands for rides. Boone County Fair officials posted their usual charges for rides on Facebook a few days ago for clarification.
