If you think you've witnessed the most ridiculous things while driving, wait until you see this video of an Illinois driver taking a joyride down Perryville Road in Rockford.

I was scrolling through my friends' Snapchat stories and my friend, Quincy, posted a video of a car in front of her literally gliding sideways down Perryville.

At first, I thought it was a joke until I watched the video three more times.

Sometimes it seems that some people have no regard for their own safety or the safety of others.  There's never a normal day in Illinois, this just adds to it.  Have you seen anything like this?

A car spotted driving sideways like it's just a regular day on the road.

Are you seeing what I'm seeing?!  After I asked my friend what the heck the truck was doing, she didn't even know herself.  So I went to the next best thing: Google.

"Why do some cars look like they're driving sideways down the road?"

Here's what I found!

"it's probably because the rear axle is pointed in the wrong direction due to an issue with the frame, the springs, or the way the leaf springs are mounted to the axle." [jalopnik]

So, if you spot a car driving around town and it looks like it's just gliding or floating with no worries in the world, it's just a normal day in Rockford!  If your car is like the truck in the video, I wish you the best of luck on the roads.
