Humboldt penguin chicks – part of a colony of just 30 at the zoo. The wild population is under 24,000, so these fluffballs are kind of a big deal.

Nyala antelope calf – a lanky, long-legged little one you'll want to watch frolic.

Western gray kangaroo joey – yes, it's in the pouch. Yes, it's as adorable as it sounds.

Lake Titicaca frogs – rare, important, and oddly cute in a "so ugly they're cute" kind of way.

Also: Silver-Beaked Tanagers, Saffron Finches, BInturongs, and even Emperor Spotted Newts.

Most of the new arrivals will be viewable this spring, with the penguins waddling into the spotlight in June.
