YUM! The Best Breakfast Joint In America Sits Right Here In Illinois

Okay, maybe my taste buds were freaking out when I wrote that headline, but trust me when I say Springfield, Illinois has some delicious, hidden gem breakfast joints.

Over the weekend, my friend surprised me with a lovely breakfast at this adorable café during my trip to Springfield.  If you have never been to 6 St. Café you are 100% missing out on the MOST DELICIOUS FOOD in the state.

When I walked in, I totally thought it was just a café that had mediocre food on the menu.  I was proven WRONG!

"We pride ourselves on our fast and friendly service and specialize in all day breakfast, lunch and handcrafted cocktails." - 6 St. Café

Please, just take a look at my Breakfast Pony.  For $10, it came with two eggs, tater tots, bacon, a delectable biscuit, and homemade gravy and cheese.  The most delicious breakfast I have ever eaten, hands down.

I also ordered a strawberry parfait... which was ONLY $4 for this giant glass!

From the homemade granola, to the strawberries, to the Greek yogurt, I can't even explain how scrumptious this was, too.  I was not disappointed.

It was also VERY NECESSARY to order a Mimosa to wash down my meal.  Sure, I got a little tipsy but it hit the spot!  I ended up ordering a second one because one just was not enough.

Also, don't judge me.  I was halfway through my first Mimosa before I got to the photo.  That's how you know it was too tasty to savor!

Did I mention the Irish coffee they serve?  Not usually my go-to, but on this particular day I had to try it.  Shoutout to the owner for creating such a diverse, appetizing menu!

The staff was also incredibly sweet!  My server was extremely personable and shared how she even landed a job at this wonderful hidden gem.

If you are ever in the Springfield area, make a stop at 6 St. Café if you want a TRUE breakfast experience.  Enjoy this photo of me after I left, as you can see I'm incredibly happy with a fully belly and 2 Mimosas deep!
