Pumpkin Patch Season

The countdown to fall is officially on, and pumpkin patch season is right around the corner! There's something fun and nostalgic about visiting a pumpkin patch. There's always fun things like hay rides, pumpkin picking, and corn mazes.  It's a tradition to take my son to a pumpkin patch every year, and I'm already counting down the days to do it again.  One pumpkin patch in Illinois is gearing up for another great season, and let me tell you, this pumpkin patch is MASSIVE.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Well kind of, it's The Great Pumpkin Patch in Arthur, Illinois.  Not only is this pumpkin patch home to more than 300 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds, but it also has multiple mazes (corn and otherwise), and plenty of sweets to snack on.  You'll want to spend all day at The Great Pumpkin Patch.

The Great Maize Maze

One of the features at this family-friendly farm is the Maize Maze.  It's a massive corn maze that winds you throughout the farm and also has a great view of the pumpkin patch.  There's also a smaller corn maze, a straw bale maze, a sunflower maze, a soybean maze, and a mini maze for toddlers.

Food, Tunes, Animals, and More

You truly could spend an entire day at The Great Pumpkin Patch.  Throughout the season they offer live music while you walk around and soak in the gorgeous fall views. They have the Pumpkin Eatery for lunch, Two Mile Sweet Shop, The Homestead Bakery, and the Pumpkin Creamery all on the property.

They also have more than 5,000 mums on display, and several stunning seasonal displays throughout the farm.  And you can't forget the animals!

We exhibit our love for diversity through not only plants, but animals — featuring several goats, pigs, exotic chickens, rabbits, and llamas. There are several places to eat and drink on the farm and lots of things to do and see.
