I think I know what's going on here, but I do have questions. It's a fun new video moment that's just been shared showing a deer licking a cat and it makes me wonder if Garfield the cartoon feline is real after all.

The owner of the cat who captured the video shared the interesting backstory.

Our cat loves to visit and play with the deer that pass through our yard. This day he got some extra love.

It's like The Jungle Book without all the singing and instead of monkeys, it's deer...and a cat. Note that this isn't the first time this has happened either.

Cat World (yes, they have a world now) guesses that the deer like the salt in the cat's dandruff. (Head & Shoulders needed?) That would make sense although if you watch the video all the way through, it looks like the other deer are more than a bit confused.

They don't understand it either. Sure, it could be cat dandruff that has inspired the deer affection or perhaps my first theory is correct is that this is Garfield in real life and he's commanding wildlife to serve his needs.
