According to shaneco.com, the people of Illinois turn to Hot Chocolate the most when they are craving a warm fall drink. On the site they say...

"To determine everyone’s favorite fall drinks for this year, we used Google Trends to identify the most searched-for beverage in each state. We gathered 14 search terms from sources including Insanely Good and Taste of Home, and used search term data between August 2021 and August 2022 to determine each state’s favorite fall beverage."

Hot Chocolate was surprisingly only the number one choice in a couple of states. Meanwhile, Pumpkin Spiced Lattes are the drink of choice in states like Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and many more. Some of the other drinks that were number one included Mexican Hot Chocolate, Eggnog, Chai Latte, Caramel Macchiato, Hot Buttered Rum, Hot Apple Cider, and Hot Toddy. I will say I might need to move to Montana to try this Hot Buttered Rum, that sounds delicious. And on a personal note, as a man who doesn't drink pumpkin-spiced lattes, I am very proud that Illinois leans towards hot chocolate as the number one fall beverage. Hot chocolate is terrific and I drink way too much of it during the fall and winter months, what is your go-to fall drink?
