WalletHub just released its annual Best Small Towns List for 2025, and Quincy made the cut, landing in the middle of the pack along with 20 other Illinois towns. Experts ranked cities based on economic health, education and healthcare, quality of life, and safety.

Quincy came in at number 69, a solid spot, especially considering the rankings included towns from all across the country. I do wish the study had factored in community festivals and local events, though. That’s something Quincy really shines in, and it might have given us a little extra push higher up in the rankings.
