Art is everywhere and I am sure it's hard to pick just one city/town in each state that has the best of the best. One website took that challenge on and named this Illinois City as having the best art culture.

We are lucky here in Quincy and Hannibal to have amazing art all over the towns. From murals, museums, classes, and art councils we are really lucky to have amazing accessibility to art. Stacker has collected the best art destinations and found that the "Cloud Gate" art piece in Chicago is the best destination in Illinois.

What is Cloud Gate?

Well, you may know it better as "The Bean" Millennium Park's most recognizable and most photographed piece of art in the state.

It stands 33 feet high and comprises 110 tons of stainless steel. Cool down at Jaume Plensa's "Crown Fountain," a reflecting pool with glass towers that project images of Chicagoans. Check the park's calendar to catch the summer music and film series.

You can't go to Chicago without at least walking by "The Bean." I know when we go every year it's the one place we just love taking our lunch to and chilling. The park is amazing and beautiful and then you have "The Bean" it really is an experience. You can take a self-guided tour or maybe the Millennium Park Art walking tour which talks you on an art tour of the 7 public artworks in the park. Yes, there is more than just The Bean. You can also do a self-guided art walk tour.
