Brad Paisley's wife, actor Kimberly Williams-Paisley, is thanking fans for their well-wishes after she announced a health issue over the weekend.

After dealing with vocal issues for a couple of years, Williams-Paisley underwent surgery for a damaged laryngeal nerve. The procedure left her with a scar on her neck. When she first shared the news, she admitted that her struggles with her voice have taken a toll on her, mentally and physically, over the past couple years.

But in an update she shared on Monday (Aug. 19), the Father of the Bride star was feeling positive. She shared a smiling selfie, featuring a scarf covering the scar around her neck.

"Recovery is on track and I'm feeling really good," Williams-Paisley told fans.

"Thank you so much for all the love and support following my last post," she wrote. "You reminded me of the power of authenticity, vulnerability and hope. I'm feeling validated and seen and ever more grateful."

Williams-Paisley previously dealt with her vocal issue privately, after an "embarrassing & scary" incident where she lost her voice onstage at her annual Alzheimer's fundraiser in Nashville.

In her initial post, she said it felt "too vulnerable" to share what she was dealing with — until now. She also revealed that she experienced "shame and self-loathing," and dealt with a host of "old emotional wounds" as she processed life without the ability to freely use her voice.

"I've learned the strength & beauty of silence," she added. "I've become a serious meditator. I'm deadlifting over a hundred pounds. I'm taking better care of my body. I'm managing stress. I'm dissolving shame. I'm feeling more whole, empowered & joyful."
