Forget Pizza – This Should Actually Be The Food That Rockford People Are Most Proud Of

Here in Rockford, we take food very seriously. Every local has their go-to spot for delicious dining on a night out.

Maybe it's just me, but I hear a whole lot of debate about pizza in Rockford. Everyone has strong opinions about which place is the best -- it (at least to me) seems to be the 815's most prized food to talk about.

However, I want to contest that. I think that one appetizer has a strong presence that may give pizza a run for its money here...

The One Food Everyone Needs To Try When Visiting Rockford

I'll start by saying that I'm an appetizer girly through and through. And let me tell you, I think Rockford is one of the BEST places to get cheese curds! 

Maybe I'm alone in this, but people severely undercredit Rockford's cheese curd options. OH MY GOSH! I think it's because they're a staple appetizer for me, but I think they beat out pizza here if I do say so myself.

And honestly, we have so many restaurants here that serve them, it's hard to decide which place has the best. So, I'll share my list of favorite spots, but I'm open to suggestions!

If you've read my content, you knew this was coming. These cheese curds are delicious! Hands down some of the best I've had.

#2 - Trop Club - 6282 E Riverside Blvd, Loves Park, IL

Their food looks ah-ma-zing! SO many people have raved about this place's cheese curds and I don't blame them.

#3 - Beef-a-Roo

We all know this place haha! This place is the best option for getting cheese curds at a fast food spot.

Everyone hypes up their fries, but I think this is the better choice in my opinion. Gimme cheese curds over cheese fried any day!
