Need some new collectable goodies and coins, and want to help out the state of Illinois raise some money? You're in luck, Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford has announced that the next Illinois Treasurer’s Online Unclaimed Property auction taking place next month will feature historical memorabilia and American money.

The upcoming auction will display a wide array valuables including a John F. Kennedy commemorative dollar coin covered in 24K gold, Franklin half dollars, Roosevelt dimes, Jefferson wartime nickels, and a series of 1982 Lincoln pennies, according to a press release from the Illinois State Treasurer. , The auction begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 7 and runs until until 10 a.m. on Friday, July 11.

The auction will also offer $2 bills and $1 Virginia Treasuries, as well as USA stamps, jewelry, silver bars, presidential campaign buttons, and silverware, according to the release

“We are auctioning off 8,897 pieces of unclaimed property in the Illinois Treasurer’s Online Unclaimed Property Auction because the rightful owners have not come forward to claim the items in more than five years,” Rutherford said in a statement. “The auction has items ranging from coins to fine jewelry. There is something for everyone.”

Visa or Master card will be accepted and other arrangements will be made for purchases of more than $10,000. Other rules will also apply.
