This Illinois Neighborhood Ranked One Of The Coolest In The World

There are a couple of neighborhoods around the Land of Lincoln that immediately come to mind when I think of the "coolest" places to live.

Maybe because I'm a die-hard Cubs fan, but I can't think of a cooler neighborhood in the world than Wrigleyville, with the bars and pubs right by the National Landmark.

After spending the last year as a resident, the coolest neighborhood in Rockford is absolutely Churchills Grove.

A poll of 12,000 "city dwellers" around the world that is annually conducted by TimeOut ranking the coolest neighborhoods around the globe has been released and there are a handful of cities in the United States that made their Top 40.

According to the latest rankings, the #1 overall coolest neighborhood in the world is Laureles in Medellin, Columbia because of its "parks, tree-lined streets, yoga studios, and countless coffee shops."

According to TimeOut, Chicago's Hyde Park is one of the world's coolest because "you’ll find some of the city’s best restaurants, plenty of culture – from the wondrous Museum of Science and Industry to the Hyde Park Art Center – as well as world-renowned architecture designed by Frank Lloyd Wright."
