Omar Saulters of Rockton wrote his first book at the age of 12, and he knows how hard it was to get it published due to his young age. He feels the publishing industry is unkind to young authors and artists, so he has decided to do something about it.

Saulters, a Junior at Hononegah High School, has started a Kickstarter campaign page for his own publishing company called Salted Art. His mission for the company is simple, and so very important for young, budding authors. Here is what Salted Art's Kickstarter campaign aims to do:

Actively seeking young authors for publishing. We will re-define, re-invent, and re-imagine what people believe kids are capable of.

I'd say that's one heck of a worthy cause, so I hope we can all donate some bucks to encourage the creativity and positivity of the next generation. They definitely need our help.
