Everything You Need to Know About the 2014 Oscar Nominees

The talk around the water cooler today will probably be about the Oscars and who will win Best Actor, Best Picture, etc. Want to be able to sound like you know what you are talking about? Let's get educated, shall we?

Here is the extent of my 2014 Oscar nominee knowledge:

I know that "American Hustle" and it's stars are nominated for like everything.

I know that  Matthew McConaughey scored his nomination for Best Actor because he had to lose a boat load of weight for "Dallas Buyers Club." Ok, I'm sure his acting is really the reason, but he actually looked ugly for the first time in his life. This is something I never thought was possible. For that alone he deserves the award.

I know that Jared Leto is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for "Dallas Buyers Club," and I had a huge crush on him back when he was on "My So Called Life" with Claire Danes.

I know that I also was obsessed with Leonardo Dicaprio during his "Titanic" days, and that is why I hope he wins the Best Actor award for "The Wolf of Wall Street." What can I say? Old flames die hard.

And..I know that I haven't seen a single movie nominated for Best Picture.
