DeKalb County Man Wins $4 Million Illinois Lottery Prize
Something tells me this guy will discovering he has a lot of friends he never knew he had.
William Valezano, 38, of Shabbona was hungry for a snack so he stopped into the Casey's General Store in nearby Waterman (about 5 minutes south of DeKalb on U.S, Rt 30). While there, he decided to purchase a Illinois Lottery $20 scratch-off ticket. Much to Valezano's surprise, he scratched off the top instant prize of $4,000,000. Valezano played the Illinois Lottery's 100X The Money instant game and grabbed the top prize.
Valezano told the Illinois Lottery,
When I scratched my ticket and saw the prize amount, I couldn’t believe it! I kept counting the zeros over and over.
So would you go wild with an extra four million? You bet I would. First thing I would do is change my phone number and move to Hawaii.
As for Valezano, he and his wife, Gabrielle, plan to invest the money, for now.
