Bloomingdale’s Apologizes For Controversial Ad [PHOTO]

Bloomingdale's went a little too far with their recent holiday ad, and now they are apologizing to customers.

What Bloomingdale's may have thought was just a playful headline in their holiday catalog turned into a huge problem with many of their customers.

The ad, shown below, features a woman and a man. The woman is laughing while looking away from the page and the man is strongly gazing in her direction. The words, "spike you best friend's eggnog when they're not looking," sit above them.

When potential customers got a hold of this ad, they immediately pointed out that the ad looks like it's promoting date rape.

Bloomingdale's has since apologized to the huge amount of people who were upset by the ad stating on Twitter, "We heard your feedback about our catalog copy, which was inappropriate and in poor taste. Bloomingdale's sincerely apologizes."
