Beware of Halloween Scams

Halloween crunch time is here, and the Better Business Bureau warns us to use caution when shopping online or in pop-up stores for all our last minute tricks and treats.

After hearing this and looking back to a few weeks ago, I think I almost fell victim to a possible Halloween scam. I wanted a certain deluxe style costume for my daughter, but I refused to spend $50 plus shipping on a costume for a 2-year-old. So, I went on an internet hunt and thought I hit the jackpot when I found the same costume for less than half the price. Thankfully, I did a little more reading before hitting the checkout button, and decided something just felt sketchy about this particular deal. I may not have saved half price, but I did save some and I got free shipping. Boo Yeah!
