August is ‘Winnebago Buy Local Month’

Taking the initiative to shop local one step further, Rockford Mayor Larry Morrisey announced yesterday that August is now officially "Winnebago Buy Local Month."

The Rockford area is blessed with so many small, locally owned businesses to frequent. Making sure these businesses thrive should be, and is, a priority to this community not only because of the dollars they contribute to the local economy, but also because of the positive images they bring to our city.
