At a Rockford city counsel meeting yesterday, aldermen voted to change how many gaming terminals an establishment can have and for two grants to repair four local firehouses' kitchens according to WREX.

Now business can have 6 gaming terminals, one more than they were previously allowed. As someone who has been guilty of tossing a few bucks into one of these machines from time to time, you're welcome! Hopefully the additional machines will help generate more money for the establishments.

As for the 2 grants that were approved. One of them will be used to remodel four different fire stations in Rockford. Stations two, four, five, and six will all be getting new kitchens. The other will be used to fund the city's Head Start program, which helps children from birth to five years old.
