If you know a kid who's between the ages of 5 and 12 and loves the Chicago Bears, then you have to bring them to the inaugural "Run With Staley" at Levings Park in Rockford this May!

The Rockford Park District just announced that Staley, the Chicago Bears mascot, is bringing some friends to Levings Park on Saturday, May 21, 2016 for a kiddie dash and one-mile fun run to promote outdoor fun and exercise.

Early registration is available now and spots are filling fast, so here's all the details you need to know to have a fun morning with "Da Bear":

  • What: First Annual Run with Staley, the Chicago Bears Mascot
  • When: Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 8 to 10 a.m.
  • Where: Levings Park at 1420 S. Pierpont Ave. in Rockford (Inclement weather location is the Auburn High School Field House)
  • Event features: A kiddie dash for kids 5 and under beginning at 8:15 a.m., followed by a 1 mile fun through Levings Park with Staley for all other runners.
  • Cost: $10 per child, $15 for non-residents. Must be registered by May 14, 2016, and early registration is encouraged as spaces are limited.
  • Where to Register: Online at rockfordparkdistrict.org, at the Park District Customer Service location in downtown Rockford, or at the Carlson Ice Arena in Loves Park.
