If you think you've seen it all for Christmas lights this season, think again.

There's a place with thousands of Christmas lights that you need to see in Freeport this Christmas.

Honestly, this is the first I've heard of this place. I even asked my boyfriend, who's from around that area, and he didn't even know about it.

It's Christmas in the Country.

It's been the Pirrello family's tradition for the past 19 years to open their "country home, cabin and land to put on what is a breathtaking and family heartwarming display of the Christmas spirit."(Freeport News Network)

They have over 500,000 lights on display and "every night until January 1st you and your family can come celebrate the spirit of Christmas in the great outdoors with a real Santa who sits in his real sleigh, or in his real log cabin."

The visits with Santa are from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm (weather permitting) o the following days:  December 6, 10, 13, 15, 17 and 20th.

Plus, the lighted displays will stay on until 10 pm.

Awesome, I so want to go and see this don't you? Especially, now that we have a bit of snow on the ground, it will make it that much more "Christmasier".

Here's a quick peek at what you will see at Christmas in the Country at 2907 Richland Road Freeport, IL

Seriously, I'm thinking this must be Freeport's best kept secret.
