If you're a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, you probably know that the nicknames "Dutch" and "Doc" have a long history with the Cubs. In fact, 23 past Cubs players have gone by one of those names, so it's only fitting that Wrigleyville's newest restaurant should play homage to that. Especially when the location is right across from Wrigley Field's iconic marquee.

Dutch & Doc’s, an American brasserie featuring chef Chris Pandel (Swift & Sons), opens Thursday at the northwest corner of Clark and Addison streets (3600 N. Clark St.).

Dutch & Doc's will be open daily for lunch and dinner, and their menu features everything from fine cuts of steak to fan favorites like pub burgers, mac and cheese, homemade pastas, steak sandwiches and a whole lot more.

This morning I took a  look at their Facebook pageand it totally left me drooling. Seriously. Just look at this mouth-watering mac and cheese dish...

Perhaps pub burgers are more your thing...feast your eyes on this...

This Thursday is an off day for the Cubs, so Dutch & Doc's opening day may be a bit more low-key than this weekend will be. Making reservations now for your next Wrigleyville visit might be a smart idea, and you can do that now by calling Dutch & Doc's at 773-360-0207 or make it online at opentable.com.
