Would You Paint The BMO Harris Bank Center?

If it was possible, would you paint the BMO Harris Bank Center in downtown Rockford a new color?

It opened as the Rockford Metrocentre. Now it's called the BMO Harris Bank Center. The downtown destination is home for many fun events.

You may also refer to it by the nickname, "The Big Orange Box." All you have to do is look at the building and there's no explanation needed for that title.

For the past several years, they have made many upgrades to the arena. It's really become a great place to come enjoy games and shows.

The one thing that I've heard people debate about is should the building be painted? To go along with that, would you paint the BMO Harris Bank Center?

Opinions are pretty much split down the middle.

Some people say it should remain the same. They love the 'Orange Box' nickname, and changing the color would make it go away.

Other people suggest a color change would be good. The current orange looks like a shag carpet from the 1970's. An updated look would really make it stand out.

I've even heard the idea of making it into a jail. I don't think that would do anybody any good.

I would like to see it get painted. Maybe IceHog's colors black, red, and white. It would look really sharp.
