If you have a love of pets, then this could be right up your alley.

The Winnebago County Animal Services are looking for volunteers. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a love for cats and dogs.

According to the website:

"Volunteers must be a least 18 years old and pass a background check. All cats and dogs that live at the volunteer’s address must be current with a rabies shot and county rabies tag. All volunteers must attend an initial orientation and a brief mentoring period. You can live outside Winnebago County unless you want to foster."

There are many opportunities to be hands on with the pets. Those opportunities include:

-Helping exercise, socialize and train the dogs and cats at the facility.

-Help with the process of potential pet owners who want to adopt.

-Take a pet home and be a foster pet parent if you have extra room at your house.

-Be a voice for the WCAS by talking about the services they offer in the public.

-Take pictures of the animals and put them on the internet.

-Help with fundraising efforts.
