What's the weirdest thing you've ever ate? I've been known to be adventurous when it comes to trying new or different foods. I've eaten a fried pig's ear and sampled Squid Seafood Stew. This weekend I can add another strange food to the list. I tried Vegan Ham.Vegan Ham is made from soy & wheat protein. It has a really weird texture. It sort of had a dry woody feeling on the tongue. It reminded me of those low calorie diet breads that was flavored with ham juice. It kind of had the smell of the wet cat food.

I didn't like eating it plain by the slice. The way I found it to be tolerable to eat was to roll it in a tortilla shell with cheese.

Needless to say, I won't be eating that again. It was different. Not terrible, but not a favorite either. It ranks right up there with the Pig's Ear and Squid Seafood Stew. One try is enough.

I just hope the barn cats next door enjoy it, as I cut it up and left a plate out for them.
