Zippia complied a list of the top ten laziest cities in the U.S.

Although, thankfully, Rockford didn't land at number one. That's the good news. The bad news, is it did find a place on the list. Yikes!

According to Zippia our beloved Forest City landed at number nine as one of the laziest cities in America.

Hmmm, well that doesn't sound too good. At least it's towards the bottom but to rank number nine out of fifty states, I think we need to look at how it got here.

Zippia said, Via WTVO, "that "Rockford residents aren't lazy. Well, for the most part. I mean, the hours worked per week (37.4) isn't that low; the commute (20 minutes) isn't too much of a breeze; and the college graduation rate ... Well, at least some of these guys went to college."

I'm thinking maybe we just know how to balance our work and play time in this city. Right?? We know how to have a little downtime, right?!

Well, that's what I'm going to stick with anyways.

Here's the complete list of the "Ten Most Laziest Cities in the U.S."

  1. Dayton, OH
  2. Toledo, OH
  3. Springfield, MA
  4. Rochester, NY
  5. Syracuse, NY
  6. Cleveland, OH
  7. Akron, OH
  8. Buffalo, NY
  9. Rockford, IL
  10. Detroit, MI

Hmmm...Ohio appears on the list not once but four times. New York isn't that much better, appearing on the list three times. I'm thinking those are the problem child states. If you want something done don't send it to Ohio or New York or you may be waiting a while for it to get done. Ha!
