On Sunday night Rockford Mass Transit Drivers alerted management that they would strike this Wednesday at 5 a.m. if their demands are not met, and so far no agreement has been made.

Wages, percentage paid for insurance, and two other unspecified issues are what is at stake, and if drivers do strike tomorrow morning, RMTD routes will be halted immediately leaving thousands of people in the Rockford area without a mode of transportation. No good. No good at all.

To stay up to date on the strike and RMTD route information, keep an eye on their website or Facebook page.

Let's hope a resolution is met in the next few hours, as so many riders cannot deal with the loss of wages or inconvenience this strike will cause.
