It's that time of year again. Time to keep a close eye EVERYWHERE when driving, watching for deer. That's the message from Illinois conservation officials who warn motorists to be on the lookout for deer.

Those sneaky deer have a way of jumping right out into traffic. In Illinois alone, more than 15,000 accidents occurred involving cars, trucks, motorcycles and more crashing into deer. The real story is that nearly half of all deer VS. vehicle accidents happen in  October, November and December.

According to Fox32Chicago.com "The Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois State Police say most of the accidents happened on rural roads at twilight or at night."

No matter where you live in the Stateline area, always watch for deer. Not the kind that you see on the pavement of I-90 already gone, but the one just around that bend of trees waiting to jump right out in front of you.

Drive carefully y'all.
