Funny money has popped up in Dixon. It's not so funny after all, especially  when it deprives an honest business owner of money. Your help is needed to catch this guy.

The Dixon Police Department is looking for your help in finding and identifying a man who allegedly is passing fake $100 bills in the Dixon area.

Businesses in the area need to be on alert.

According to police, on Friday evening, the Dixon Police Department was called to Snyder’s Pharmacy, on Galena Ave by the business owner who reported a male individual attempting to purchase items with a counterfeit $100.00 bill. The store employee became suspicious of the bill and contacted Dixon police.

Police report that unidentified male subject left the store and was last seen driving a blue colored Chrysler Sebring.

Also, the Police Department says they were also called to Dixon Walgreen’s Pharmacy, at 1275 North Galena Avenue, on Saturday in reference to the same individual attempting to  to pass off another counterfeit $100.00 bill.
