Would you buy a new or used car at Walmart? It could soon be a reality!Where are all these cars for sale going to go? It's bad enough trying to find a parking place when I go shopping at Walmart on the weekend, yikes! Hold on, don't freak out.

Automotive News is reporting that Walmart will be teaming up with CarSaver, an online automotive retail platform. The stores will not have the actual cars on site, but Walmart will will sell through major dealer groups like AutoNation. AutoNation is the United States' largest new car and truck dealer

The program will launch on April 1 (not an April Fools joke) at WalMart Supercenters in:

  • Houston
  • Dallas
  • Phoenix
  • Oklahoma City

Stateline Walmart locations will not be participating in the car selling business, yet, but depending on the success, that could change.

This begs the bigger question, will customers be able to buy a car "on layaway"?
