Vic Worthington, a teacher from Rochelle Middle School, needs our vote to win a $100,000 grant for the school's technology, science, art math department.

A couple weeks ago I told you the story about my friend and teacher Vic Worthington from Rochelle Middle School who was selected as a candidate to possibly win a $100,000 grant for the schools  technology, science, art math department through Farmer's Insurance. Well the the time has begun to "Vote for Vic".

I'm so proud to know Vic for making it this far as he is the only Illinois teacher that was selected for this program. In fact he is one of the fifteen teachers nationwide competing for this grant.

According to WHRL News, if Vic wins the money would go to the students in the Full Steam program at Rochelle Middle School. It's a program that deals with science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Voting opened yesterday, October 1st and remains open through 11:59pm on October 31st. You can vote once a day for Vic if you'd like.

I voted for him last night and again today. Will join me and "Vote for Vic"? I'd love see that money go to an Illinois school, especially to a guy I know and respect, who works hard to help further the education, dreams and desires of his students.

Also to Farmer's Insurance, I want to say that your "Thank America's Teachers" campaign is a great idea. Not only are you investing in the lives of our children but your helping to provide the right tools for the teachers to do so.
