Over the weekend over 900 people from Rockford, Rochelle, Wisconsin even Iowa joined Operation Blessing in Rochelle to help in the recovery and disaster relief of last Thursday's tornadoes.

They are still needing volunteer's this week to help in the cleanup and recovering.

According to the Ogle County Sheriff's Office facebook page, if you are interesting in helping and are over 18 years old, you are welcome to volunteer.

Every morning between 9:00- 9:30am, volunteers can sign-up at the parking lot on the corner of Jones Road and 9th Street in Rochelle. At 9:30, the briefing and assignments will begin.

If you have time this week and are able to lend a hand please join Operation Blessing and be a blessing to those effected from the EF-4 tornado that ripped through the community.

Also, if volunteering, make sure you have your med insurance card w/ or know the policy name/ number for the waiver. Wear STURDY shoes, long sleeves, pants
