How could someone stoop so low? That's what everyone is asking after a video surfaced on Thursday night of a woman stealing a donation can at a local Rockford business.

The donation can was for the Rockford Rescue Mission. The mission provides:

  • Community meals
  • Housing
  • A woman's crisis center

The organization receives funding from multiple sources, including donations from the public. Many businesses in the Rockford area will set out donation cans to assist in the collection of funds for the Rockford Rescue Mission, so it came as quite a surprise when one local business discovered, one of their customers stole the donation can. Fortunately, it was caught on video.

Treasures Galore, on Sandy Hollow Road, took to social media to express outrage after a video showed what appears to be a woman stealing stealing the donation can right from the checkout. Watch the woman in the red sweater talking on her cell phone.

The woman who allegedly stole the donation can has not been identified, yet, but with her actions caught on video, it won't take long.
