Several Veteran's Day ceremonies will happen today in the area as we honor those individuals who served our country and give us our freedom. There are also plenty of locations for Veteran's to enjoy a free meal or a hair cut today. The list is here.

 

Thanks to our Veteran's in the Stateline area, all of America enjoys the freedom to vote, freedom of speech, the right to arms and many more. It only seems fitting that today, we all say thank you to a Vet.

Here's just a few of the many ceremonies happening in the Stateline today.

The new Ogle County Fallen Soldiers Memorial in Oregon will host a dedication ceremony at the courthouse beginning at 10:00 a.m. on the north side of the building. A potluck lunch follows at the VFW.

In Ashton there is a ceremony at the Mills and Petrie building beginning at 10:30 a.m. today.

An assembly for students will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the David L. Rahn Junior High School in Mt. Morris.

In Polo there is a ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at Centennial Elementary School.

There will also be ceremonies in Loves Park, Rockford, Belvidere, and in Freeport today.
