USA Ultimate Frisbee Championships Coming to Rockford

USA Ultimate, the national governing body for the sport of ultimate frisbee in the United States, announced that the 2015 Division III College Championships will take place in Rockford, IL on Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and May 17, 2015. Here's why you should book your hotel rooms for a wedding or event for that weekend early.

The event will be played at Sportscore 2 and will be hosted by the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. This marks the sixth annual Division III Championships and the first time a USA Ultimate championship event will be held in the Rockford.

More than 800 student-athletes from 32 teams, 16 each in the men’s and women’s divisions, will compete in this championship event in 2015. Competitors and spectators are expected to inject thousands of dollars and book several hundred hotel rooms in Rockford during the two-day tournament.

The USA Ultimate Division III College Championships in Rockford will crown a national champion in the men’s and women’s divisions and represents the culmination of the college ultimate season for schools with enrollment of fewer than 7,500 students.

Once again, the event will take place the weekend before the Division I College Championships. The sky is the limit for the passion and excitement for this event.
