A new report of the best and worst small cities in Illinois is out and unfortunately, two nearby towns ended up on the "worst" list.

WalletHub put together the list of the "best and worst small cities in America." Reboot Illinois hacked that list up and cobbled together the "best and worst small cities in Illinois."

This is what Reboot Illinois came up with, here are the 10 best small cities in Illinois:

  1. Crystal Lake
  2. Algonquin
  3. McHenry
  4. Vernon Hills
  5. Lake In The Hills
  6. Quincy
  7. Bloomington
  8. Northbrook
  9. O'Fallon
  10. Elmhurst

Many of the top 10 "best" small cities in Illinois are just outside of Chicago.
