The votes have been tallied and it's time to reveal your picks.Sweet corn season is here. It is my privilege to present to you your picks for the best sweet corn in the Stateline.

Important things to keep in mind:

• Radio DJ's love samples!
• I haven't come across any bad locally grown sweetcorn this year
• There are many different varieties of sweet corn, and many have different tastes
• Ideally you want to buy it, cook it and consume it the same day it is picked or as close to that as possible.

When you are selecting sweet corn, take a look at the bottom of the ear of corn where it has been broken off at the stalk. If it has already turned brown, it most likely is at least 2 days old. Move on to something else.

8.  Kirkland: Klock's, just south of RT 72 on 1st street and at State and Appleton in Belvidere
