Three Rockford Gas Stations Robbed Early Monday Morning

This week did not start so good for three Rockford area gas stations.

WIFR-TV reports that three gas stations were robbed early Monday morning in the Stateline. Police believe the same pair of men are responsible.

Rockford Police say the thefts occurred at:

• A gas station in Loves Park at 3:00 a.m.
• The Mobil Station on Sandy Hollow Road shortly after
• The Shell station at Harrison and South Main at 4:30 a.m.

Police reports indicate that the suspects were armed with a shotgun and a rifle, demanded cash, and then fled on foot in the incidents that took place at the Shell and Mobil stations

The suspects remain at large.
