With the extreme temps over last night into this morning over 11,050 households in Illinois were without power according to ComEd. With temps this far into negative digits it was a given that some people would lose power. Luckily here in Winnebago county only a few households lost power. With record breaking temperatures comes record breaking problems. Thankfully we only have one more day of extreme cold to go.

As of now, ComEd crews are all over the place trying to restore power. If your power is still out just go to outagemap.comed.com to get an idea of when power will be restored or you can also report an outage if you need to. Our best advice is to stay home and try to keep as warm as you can because after all its definitely not warmer outside. Stay safe
