Sunday, I spent the day with family at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee.

I rode Goliath and survived! If you want a taste of what it's like to ride this beast of a wooden roller coaster, watch this!

It is a fun a ride, but I will tell you that first drop of 180 feet at and 85 degree angle will really get the adrenaline pumping. It scares the begeezus out of you. Plus, before even hitting that drop, it keeps you in suspense as it keeps climbing up that steep hill to drop you in a great rush at 72 mph.

Now you can see why this wooden coaster fitted with a lap belt and leg and lap bars to hold you in place has broken three world records. As the fastest, longest drop, and steepest drop.(Wikipedia)

It truly is a rush! It's really fun and the best part, it's so smooth in it's transitions that you don't noticed when your flipped upside down when coming out of the steep drop. There's no head rattling or banging, as other coaster can do, when twisting and turning and flipping you upside down.

I will definitely be riding this again this season and well frankly, you need to on your next visit!
