If you're a big fan of the scary movie "The Shining" then I'm thinking this will peak your interest.

This Chicago hotel will be recreating the Overlook Hotel from the Stanley Kubrick film "The Shining" for Halloween.

According to this article in DNAInfo, the Dana Hotel and Spa in River North is recreating scenes from The Shining's Overlook Hotel for a Halloween party.

This party includes a costume party with cash prizes, a maze, and other activities that are all "inspired by the 1980 horror film on Oct. 31."

"Guests will be treated to live music and photos with the 'Come Play With us' twins and Nicholson's character in the film, an adaptation of a Stephen King novel. There will also be "Redrum" sangria punch to drink."

Wow! That's pretty cool in a way. I mean, I'm not a scary movie kind of fan, but for a hotel to go out of it's way to do something like this is pretty interesting. I'd go just to see it. Wouldn't you?
